ABOUT PROJECT „THEMATIC CYCLE PATHS IN SLAVONICE“

We would like to introduce 6 cycle-paths, each of them has its specific specialization and provide education and fun for the whole family. All trails are marked by cycle signs and have recommended directions.
Please pay attention to the information about the requirements of each circuit, recommendations on equipment and safety.
This project is in accordance with the strategic development of the border region as part of the European Territorial Co-operation Austria - Czech Republic 2007-2013. The project was divided into two parts and realized in 2012-2013.
The project was created by the non-profit organization Center for the Future based in Slavonice, Czech Republic and in cooperation with the local administration of Dobersberg and Waldkirchen. Czech as well as foreign personalities from the arts and science participated in the project: RNDr. Václav Cílek CSc and photographer David Aschkenas. A significant contribution to this project had students from CTU in Prague and Charles University, organizations like Silva Nortica and LiftonZoline International LLC and The VIA Foundation.

WHERE TO START AND WHERE TO FIND IMPORTANT INFORMATION

All of the cycle paths start and end in Slavonice. The starting point is located in front of Centre for the Future, on the main square Náměstí Míru 456. An information board marks the beginning of the paths. All of the necessary information and printed brochures are available in the office of The Centre for the Future or in The Tourist Information Center. In case of non-working hours visitors can ask for help or have a look at the maps at Hotel U Růže in the center or pension Bejčkův Mlýn.
